Honey Bee Health Course

This is open to anyone who currently holds the Basic Assessment or has kept bees for at least 3 years.

It is an opportunity to improve your knowledge of pests and diseases which could affect your bees. It will provide you with some techniques to help you maintain healthy colonies and improve your beekeeping skills. The course will include hands-on practice of various manipulations.

The course will cover the full syllabus of the BBKA Honey Bee Health Assessment although taking the assessment is optional.

Should you decide to take this assessment you have until 30th April to make your application. This is a practical and oral assessment taken in the association apiary usually between mid-May and mid-July.

NB The Pavilions of Harrogate is not our usual venue; it is on the Great Yorkshire Showground accessed directly off Wetherby Road (A661).
